Buster Brown

I'm not sure if anyone is aware of how absolutely adorable my dog is, so I thought I would take it upon myself to introduce my wonderful hairy companion...
Buster Brown Garcia...

He is the one that sleeps on my feet at night to keep my toes warm.
He is the one that pees with excitement when I come home from being gone for a couple hours.
He is the one that guards me when I am home alone.
He hides his face under a table in shame when he knows he is in trouble.
He always wants to play ball with me no matter what time of day.
He is always willing to throw away my water bottles.
He follows me into every room in the house I walk into.
He is the one always howling for attention when he feels ignored.
He cuddles with me as we watch tv.
He snores when we sleep on my bed.
He is the most loving and forgiving creature I have ever had the privilage of meeting.
Yet with all this love and affection he gives,
It never fails...
Buster Brown will always growl at me when I attempt to give him a kiss on his head!

Looking Through The Lens

For those whom may be interested... or for those who may not know...
I bought a nice camera earlier this summer, and I love it! I still am not sure how to do all the fancy things with it but I enjoy looking through that small little square and pushing a button and seeing life stand still... it is a really enjoyable experience...

If at all you would like to see what my eye has caught a glimpse of, I would be overjoyed to share it with you...

I have a website where I occasionally post up some pictures, please feel free to take a glance...

This is the largest photojournal I have of my life,
I would love to share with you my captured memories of the last few years...

Enjoy!

Something Amazing....

Yesterday I was driving to school and my gas light went on, so I went to the gas station... I looked in my wallet and I had a $20 bill so I put it into the little machine thing and I proceeded to pump gas into my car. As the gas was going, I was cleaning my car and all the sudden the gas pump clicked off... so I went to pull the handle again so it can keep going... but all the sudden gas started pouring out of my car... IT COST ME LESS THAN $20 TO FILL UP MY CAR WITH GAS!!!!!
How amazing is that?!?!?
To be exact... it was $18.97!
Isn't it funny how excited we get if the gas goes down 5 cents? (Well, I get excited about it). I don't know of any other thing that I watch and wait for the price to decrease just a few cents! How much more exciting it is that it has gone down $3!?! It is like our very own Christmas present given to us by the mean gas people who charged us $5 just a few months ago... they may be crooked people, but they are kind enough to give us Christmas presents!

A Photojournal Through Life's Travels

I have had the blessing of being able to see a few different spots in this world - there are many more that I wish to one day visit, but I am overjoyed that I have had the opportunity to see this much thus far in my life...
Here is a little photojournal of my life's travels...

.........................................................................................................

Lakes District, England
A few years ago I was sitting here with my guitar and my bible and as far as I could see there was a sea of green grass and trees holding onto red, yellow, and green leaves. To one side there was a huge lake and to another side in the distance where sheep minding their own business and eating the grass. Then all the sudden it hit me... do I have to leave? Why can't I stay?

York, England
I cannot take any credit for this amazing picture, but it has to be the most amazing picture I have seen of a place that I once called home. This is the wall that surrounds the beautiful city of York. Walking on this wall will take you over a river, through some flats (apartments), around some stores, and along the beautiful York Minster (pictured after this one). I am not a huge fan of walking in circles, but I would walk this circle any day!

York, England
The glorious York Minster. This beautiful sight as been burnt down and destroyed several times in its history, but through many years of repair it now stands with a beautiful sense of pride and splendor!

Venice, Italy
One of the most interesting weekends I have ever experience in my life, by far! Beautiful place, adventurous journey, lifelong memories!

Carpinteria, California
This was a Get-Away day with my good friend Allison. Long drive, but well worth it!

Mammoth, California
I do not know who these people are, but I do envy their boat ride on Convict Lake.

Vienna, Austria
Who wouldn't want to take a walk in this park?

Monterey, California
A rainy day on Canary Row

Edinburgh, Scotland
This is the most beautiful places I have ever had the opportunity of seeing and visiting!

Colfax, California
Mail anyone? School of Worship class visited
Danny Donnelly's home and recording studio.

Budapest, Hungary
Dancing in Hero's Square

Irvine, California
My wonderful boyfriend took me on a date and we rode this air balloon...
isn't that romantic!

Vajta, Hungary
One of hundreds of sunflower fields in Hungary. It is hard to describe a
nice long drive among a sea of sunflowers smiling at you as you drive by.

Washington DC, Virginia
The Vietnam Memorial is possibly the most emotionally moving memorial in DC. Perhaps it is because it is one of the most recent events that has started and ended is the today's average adult's lifetime (not sure if that makes sense).
It is a beautiful memorial that brings you to silence and a proud sense of patriotism.

Newport Beach, California
The end of California...

Christmas Cards

So Christmas card shopping is quite a sad experience for people who actually celebrate CHRISTMAS... it is almost impossible to find a Christmas card that says "Merry Christmas" on it. They all say "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings". What the heck?! I understand that the reason for it is to be "politically correct", but seriously... it is Christmas! Yes, it so happens to be a holiday, and yes it so happens to be in the winter season... but honestly.. do you ever hear someone tell a person "Happy Holidays" on Halloween?? Do you? Or how about "Season's Greetings" on Valentine's day - if you know of someone that says that, please introduce me because I would like to ask them why...

So, whether you believe that Jesus is the reason we celebrate CHRISTmas or not, that doesn't mean people can just go and change the name of a holiday because they don't believe Him. and if they don't believe in Him, then heck, they shouldn't be celebrating His birthday then!! If I am not your friend (or even if i am), that doesn't give me the right to change your birthday and tell you if you are allowed to claim your date of birth as a day you can celebrate - seriously!!

This is Christmas we are all celebrating on December 25th... so

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you!!!

Offering Praise

Whoever offers praise glorifies Me * It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night * Let everything that has breath praise the Lord * I beseech you ... brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service * Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifices of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name * Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ * Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and blessing!
